What Hassle Bot is

Hassle Bot is an AI-powered career tool. It reviews your CV, provides feedback, and generates an improved version. It is not an employment agency — we don’t find jobs for you, contact employers on your behalf, or guarantee employment outcomes.

Who operates it

Hassle Bot is operated by CDSoft (Pty) Ltd, a South African company. Our primary market is South Africa, but the service is accessible internationally.

Age requirement

You must be at least 18 years old to use Hassle Bot. The service involves processing personal career information and making payments.

Acceptable use

Don’t use Hassle Bot for anything illegal or abusive. You are responsible for the accuracy of information in your CV. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access if you violate these terms.

When you upload a CV, you confirm that it is your own, or that you have the authority of the person it belongs to. We rely on that: a CV describes a real person, and we have no way to ask their permission ourselves.

Your account

Accounts are created via email verification code — no passwords
You are responsible for access to your email address
One account per email address
We may suspend accounts that abuse the service

By using Hassle Bot, you consent to:

Storage of your chat messages for the purpose of providing the service
Processing of your CV by AI to generate reviews and rewrites
Storage of your CV on our infrastructure
Receiving transactional emails (verification codes, CV delivery)
Technical error monitoring to maintain the service

Because you came to us to have your CV looked at, we may also email you occasionally about our own services — a new feature, a profile invitation, or an offer on the CV rewrite. Nothing else: we don’t send third-party advertising and we never sell or share your address.

Every one of those emails carries an unsubscribe link, and one click stops them for good. It only stops the marketing — verification codes, your CV, and replies to things you ask us are unaffected. You can also stop them any time from any earlier email, or by contacting us.

You can withdraw consent at any time by contacting us or by using the “Start fresh” option (before registration) to clear your session.

If you don’t create an account, your data is automatically deleted after 14 days. For registered accounts, data is kept while your account is active and deleted after 12 months of inactivity. See our Privacy Policy for full details.

Payments

Payments are processed by PayFast (Network International) in South African Rand (ZAR)
By proceeding with payment, you consent to the service beginning immediately
Once CV processing has begun, cancellation for change of mind is not available
If we fail to deliver your CV rewrite, contact us for a refund

AI-generated content

CV reviews and rewrites are generated by AI and reviewed by a human
We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or effectiveness of AI-generated content
You are responsible for reviewing and editing the final CV before using it
AI output may contain errors — verify all facts, dates, and claims
AI-generated text now commonly carries an invisible watermark identifying it as machine-written. This applies to the models we use. It does not change your ownership of the rewrite, and it is not visible to a reader, but you should know it is there
The same applies to our guides and articles: they are researched and fact-checked, but they are general information about South African hiring, not legal or career advice for your situation. Where we describe the law, check it against the current text before relying on it

Ownership

The rewritten CV is yours. You own the output and can use it however you like. We retain a copy on our infrastructure for the purpose of providing the service (revisions, support).

Availability

Hassle Bot is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue the service at any time without notice.

Not an employment agency

Hassle Bot is a candidate-side SaaS tool. We are not registered as an employment agency under the Employment Services Act. We do not:

Match candidates to jobs
Contact employers on your behalf
Charge fees for job placement
Guarantee employment outcomes

Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to Hassle Bot at any time if you violate these terms. Upon termination, your right to use the service ceases immediately. If you have paid for a CV rewrite that has not been delivered, you are entitled to a refund.

Limitation of liability

CDSoft (Pty) Ltd is not liable for:

Employment outcomes or lack thereof
Loss of data (though we take reasonable measures to prevent it)
Interruption of service

Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the service.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. Changes take effect when posted. Continued use of the service constitutes acceptance of updated terms.

Severability

If any provision of these terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full effect.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of South Africa. Disputes will be resolved in South African courts.
